I really love this book. The concepts are exactly true. When we carry old feelings and unforgiveness, especially to our parents and family members, it unknowingly reflects on how we feel about ourselves. Every word said to us and every action done to us as children are carried through a lifetime in our self-perception and attitudes. I know I carried so much that damaged my image of self until I was 50 years old and went on my own journey of healing that God led me on. I went through the same steps as the author in transforming how I feel about myself, mostly through forgiveness, and ultimately I too finally ended up with the perfect spouse and perfect marriage. We cannot attract what is good for us until we love ourselves. I still to this day often just say out loud, Lord, please help me see myself and others through your eyes. It truly changes everything! I love the prayers included within this book to help you on your journey to self-acceptance and self-love! Great book, I recommend this to everyone since we all have old wounds we carry.
